The Leffell School is often defined by our extracurricular experiences. In particular, Shabbatonim traditionally set the foundation for each school year by kick-starting new friendships, strengthening grade identities, increasing each student’s understanding and appreciation for Shabbat, and so much more. Navigating this unique school year certainly comes with challenges and has limited our ability to offer these travel-based experiences until it is safe to do so.
However, we are determined to provide new and creative programming that will ensure that the values of Torah Lishmah, Tefilah, and Kehilah are transmitted to our students — and we want to invite our alumni to join us. Therefore, we’re excited to debut a new project from the High School Student Government: “Shabbaton at Home.”
Beginning on Monday, January 4 and concluding Saturday night, January 9, our eighth-through-twelfth-grade students will spend a week gearing up for a Shabbaton, and we would love you to participate as well — at home!
