Eitan Abecassis (Class of 2018) worked with Dr. Danny Aviv to create a mini-course for Leffell School engineering students to work on Tikkun Olam Makers' (TOM) challenge this summer. TOM launched an effort to flatten the curve of those infected with COVID-19 by creating an open source design library for PPE and other products that help protect essential workers. Brian Feiler (Class of 2019), an entrepreneurial studies major at Syracuse University, began interning for Auburn Jewelry over the summer and encouraged the company to partner with Save a Child's Heart, an organization he visited on Lev V'Nefesh. Through the collaborative efforts of Brian and the company, Auburn Jewelry's "Gifts that Give Back" collection now includes a charm with Save a Child's Heart logo, and part of the proceeds from sales will go to SACH.
