Greg Eichten
Interim Dean of Faculty & English Department Chair
Greg Eichten joined The Leffell School in 2019 and currently serves as the Interim Dean of Faculty, as well as English Department Chair for the High School. In this role, he collaborates with department chairs to streamline rigorous instruction and acts as a key resource for faculty. A native of Minnesota, Greg earned his bachelor’s degree from Winona State University and later completed his master’s at Relay Graduate School of Education. He began his teaching career with Teach for America in Gary, Indiana, before moving to New York, where he spent six years at Harlem Village Academies. Over his teaching career, Greg has taught every high school grade, a variety of electives, and the International Baccalaureate’s Theory of Knowledge course. He has held multiple leadership positions in the past, including department chair, grade team leader, and director of grade teams, and has participated in advanced training at the National Academy of Advanced Teacher Education. Greg currently lives in Yonkers and enjoys cooking, reading, moviegoing, and exploring the city.
