Rabbi Seth Braunstein

Seventh-Grade Dean
An alumnus of Yeshivat Chovevei Torah, Seth brings over 20 years of experience working with children from diverse Jewish backgrounds around the globe. His career has been marked by a deep commitment to Jewish education and community building. Seth directed the Szarvas Fellowship Program for the last 17 years, bringing diverse groups of high school students from across North America to the largest international Jewish summer camp in Hungary. He advises Jewish overnight camps as a consultant for Foundation for Jewish Camp through the Cornerstone project and has worked as a Yoetz, supporting counselors and division heads, at Ramah Day Camp in Nyack for the past several summers. Other previous roles include Rabbinical and educational positions at the Hebrew Institute of White Plains, Boston’s Hebrew College, and Carmel Academy, as well as directing, teaching, and implementing Jewish educational programs in the former Soviet Union and consulting for the iCenter and Jewish Education Project. Outside of work, Seth enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, traveling, and baking challah with his children. He lives in Riverdale, NY with his wife, Jamie, and their three children.
