Elisha Andron
Director of Student Services
Elisha Andron serves as the director of student services for The Leffell School. In this capacity, he manages the collaboration among the Center for Academic Support, the school psychologists, grade-level deans, college counselors, and the school leadership to maximize each student’s experience. Mr. Andron works closely with the leadership teams in the Lower, Middle, and High Schools to ensure smooth transitions between divisions and continuity of vision and practice within our institution. Similarly, he works closely with the High School seniors to help them navigate the exciting opportunities of the senior year and transition to life after graduation. Mr. Andron came to our school in the fall of 2000, the year before the opening of our High School, and helped craft and implement the vision for the High School. He initially served as the director of student life and grade-level dean prior to his expanded role in student services. As someone who knows The Leffell School so well as both a veteran staff member and a parent, Mr. Andron serves as an important voice of continuity and consistency for the school. Mr. Andron previously taught first grade at the Ramaz Lower School and spent many summers as a counselor and division head at Camp Ramah in Nyack. He earned a master’s degree from the Jewish Theological Seminary in experiential Jewish education and a master’s degree from Fordham University in counseling.
